A bowl motif for Winter Solstice. The collection pairs a long pierced metal bookmark with a painted enamel round-fan bookmark, explored as a browser-based design study.
Traditional seasonal signs
- Earthworms curl up 蚯蚓结
- Elk shed their antlers 麋角解
- Springs begin to stir 水泉动
These are traditional poetic observations used in the design, rather than a modern scientific account. The seasonal date is approximately 22 Dec and varies by year.
