A rice motif for End of Heat. The collection pairs a long pierced metal bookmark with a painted enamel round-fan bookmark, explored as a browser-based design study.
Traditional seasonal signs
- Hawks lay out their prey 鹰乃祭鸟
- Heaven and earth grow austere 天地始肃
- The grain is gathered 禾乃登
These are traditional poetic observations used in the design, rather than a modern scientific account. The seasonal date is approximately 23 Aug and varies by year.
