Cold Dew · 寒露

The design

A chrys motif for Cold Dew. The collection pairs a long pierced metal bookmark with a painted enamel round-fan bookmark, explored as a browser-based design study.

Traditional seasonal signs

1. Wild geese arrive as guests 鸿雁来宾
2. Sparrows enter the sea as clams 雀入大水为蛤
3. Chrysanthemums bloom yellow 菊有黄华

These are traditional poetic observations used in the design, rather than a modern scientific account. The seasonal date is approximately 8 Oct and varies by year.
