A spiral motif for Awakening of Insects. The collection pairs a long pierced metal bookmark with a painted enamel round-fan bookmark, explored as a browser-based design study.
Traditional seasonal signs
- Peach trees blossom 桃始华
- Orioles sing 仓庚鸣
- Hawks turn into doves 鹰化为鸠
These are traditional poetic observations used in the design, rather than a modern scientific account. The seasonal date is approximately 6 Mar and varies by year.
