A seedling motif for Grain in Ear. The collection pairs a long pierced metal bookmark with a painted enamel round-fan bookmark, explored as a browser-based design study.
Traditional seasonal signs
- Mantises hatch 螳螂生
- Shrikes begin to call 鵙始鸣
- Mockingbirds fall silent 反舌无声
These are traditional poetic observations used in the design, rather than a modern scientific account. The seasonal date is approximately 6 Jun and varies by year.
