A wheat motif for Grain Buds. The collection pairs a long pierced metal bookmark with a painted enamel round-fan bookmark, explored as a browser-based design study.
Traditional seasonal signs
- Sow thistle flowers 苦菜秀
- Fine grasses wither 靡草死
- The wheat harvest comes 麦秋至
These are traditional poetic observations used in the design, rather than a modern scientific account. The seasonal date is approximately 21 May and varies by year.
